Web design · Behchokǫ̀, NT

A website your Behchokǫ̀ business actually owns — built inside the NWT.

Manifesting North is a Northwest Territories firm, based in Inuvik, that builds fast, professional websites and the custom software a business runs on. Not a southern agency with your community's name pasted into a template — a Northern shop that knows the ground you work on, Behchokǫ̀ included.

Behchokǫ̀ is two places in one. Rae sits on the North Arm of Great Slave Lake, and Edzo is joined to it by a 24-kilometre road — the community lies roughly 110 km northwest of Yellowknife, with Highway 3, the paved Yellowknife Highway, running past it and the Behchokǫ̀–Rae and Behchokǫ̀–Edzo access roads branching off. At 2,017 residents as of July 1, 2025, it is the largest of the four Tłı̨chǫ communities, well ahead of Whatì, Gamètì, and Wekweètì.

It is also a community that governs itself. Since the Tłı̨chǫ Agreement came into effect on 4 August 2005, Behchokǫ̀ has run under the Community Government of Behchokǫ̀ with self-government status, and the Tłı̨chǫ Government can enact laws for Tłı̨chǫ Citizens on Tłı̨chǫ lands and in Tłı̨chǫ communities — education, training, income support, social housing, and Tłı̨chǫ language and culture among them — across a single 39,000 km² block of Tłı̨chǫ land. Since November 2021 the 97-kilometre Tłı̨chǫ Highway has run from Highway 3 up to Whatì, giving that community all-weather road access.

That combination — self-government, land ownership, and new road access — means real contracts, real procurement, and businesses that get looked up before they get called. Plenty of that work is well established while the website hasn't kept up: a dated page, a Facebook profile doing double duty, or a rented site-builder quietly charging monthly rent. We build the fix — a professional site you fully own, quick to load, easy to read on a phone, and free of the fees that lock you in.

There's water between our two towns as well. Great Slave Lake drains into the Mackenzie, which runs north to the Beaufort Delta, where we're based in Inuvik. Same territory, same seasons — we build for the businesses that keep NWT communities moving.

Why a Northern firm matters

Built for the NWT, serving Behchokǫ̀.

Not a doorway page with your community's name swapped in — a real Northern partner.

A Northern firm, not a call centre

We're based in the Northwest Territories and work in your time zone. When you need to talk it through, you're talking to someone who knows the North and picks up.

Fast on Northern connections

We build light, quick-loading sites that hold up on the bandwidth people actually have across the NWT — not bloated templates that stall on mobile.

You own it outright

Your site lives on your own domain, handed over as yours. Clear code, no vendor lock-in, and no monthly rent to keep your own website online.

Proof we build in the NWT

We've already built for a Northern contractor.

The same partner can build your website and the software your business runs on.

A&J Contracting

We built a complete operating system for a multi-trade general contractor in the Northwest Territories — leads flowing into estimates and jobs, with per-job costs, paperwork, people, tasks, and time tracking in one place, plus a schedule view and a public-facing website. Built on a modern, secure stack and handed over as theirs.

If your work is real but your website is a dated page, you're exactly who we build for in Behchokǫ̀.
We build for Behchokǫ̀…
  • Trades and contractors with no real website yet
  • Tłı̨chǫ-owned businesses, joint ventures, and organizations
  • Stores, services, artists, and outfitters that need to be found on Google
  • Owner-operators tracking jobs in spreadsheets and notebooks
How it runs

From first call to a site that's live.

Simple, clear steps — you always know what's happening.

01

Talk

We get on a call — or meet in person when a project calls for it — and learn your business, your customers, and what a new one needs to see.

02

Build

We design and build a fast, mobile-friendly site in your own branding, not a cookie-cutter template.

03

Launch

We put it live on your own domain, set up your business email, and show you how to make simple edits yourself.

04

Support

We stay reachable to fix things and keep it healthy — and can grow it into full software when you're ready.

More than a website, when you need it. A lot of Behchokǫ̀ businesses start with a site and grow into needing more — a way to track jobs and costs, an app for the crew, accounting and payments wired together so nothing's entered twice. We build all of it, and it's the same Northern partner every step. See the full list on our services page, or look at what we've built.

Let's build something for your Behchokǫ̀ business.

Tell us what you do and where the cracks are. We'll show you what we'd build first — no pressure, no jargon.

Websites from $499, a complete operations system with website from $999 (CAD) — every project quoted to the job, no surprise numbers.
